Project Purpose:
To create Virtual Reality (VR) training for Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) 911 Standby Personnel during downed power lines
The Results:
- Developed and created 911 standby personnel role training in Oculus Rift and PC that focuses on maintaining safety to the public until they are relieved by a qualified electrical line crew.
- Developed skill assessments using VR environments for trainees emphasizing problem-solving, decision-making, handling emergency situations and job task performance.
- Developed and designed VR to operate on the latest Oculus Rift technology and PC, enhancing and improving the training process.
