C² TECHNOLOGIES, INC. WINS MULTIYEAR CONTRACT TO PROVIDE INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA INSTRUCTION FOR ARMY TRADOC

(VIENNA, VA – July 16, 2010) – C² Technologies, Inc., already a proven partner of the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), has been awarded a multiyear contract for the design and development of Interactive Multimedia Instruction (IMI) by the Combined Arms Center for Training/Army Training Support Center (CAC-T/ATSC).

As part of its continuing efforts to deliver the most effective, engaging, and vibrant training content to its Warfighters and tomorrow’s Leaders, the Combined Arms Center in partnership with the Army’s Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE) developed an innovative training strategy to support the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) model by leveraging the Brigade Combat Team Modernization (BCTM) effort.  C²’s contract will create IMI for Doctrine and Tactics Training (DTT) for leaders within the Infantry Brigade Command Team (IBCT), utilizing new collaborative and mobile training technologies.  Deployment of C²’s training products will be via the Army’s new Multi-user Online Virtual Exercise (MOVE), a delivery mode designed to meet Increment 1 requirements for the Persistent Learning Capability (PLC), a game changing extension of the anytime, anywhere distributed learning philosophy.

Leveraging more than two decades of experience in cutting-edge training development, C² will be responsible for the production of 73 hours of IMI courseware, comprised of 11 hours of self-paced, asynchronous material and 62 hours of highly interactive, scenario-based, and collaborative instruction, featuring use of immersive scenarios, 3D models, and virtual training devices.  DTT will be conducted in two phases:  Phase I presents the asynchronous IMI, delivering prerequisite knowledge and skills in progression to platoons, companies, and battalion/brigades; the more advanced Phase II uses the squad/platoon and company progression levels to support either synchronous or blended instruction that requires the application of Phase I learning in solving scenario-based tactical problems.

The initial contract year will support an initial 150-user rollout to soldiers at Ft. Bliss, TX, with options for subsequent years to extend the training development and delivery effort in support of DTT for additional Brigade Combat Teams located at other Army locations.
