USAF SQUADRON OFFICER LEADER DEVELOPMENT COURSE WINS "LEARNING LEADER" AWARD
(VIENNA, VA – March 23, 2009) C² Technologies, Inc. is a key collaborator in the development of a state-of-the-art training curriculum for the United States Air Force (USAF) that has received the prestigious “Leadership Development Excellence” award from the international Learning Leaders 2008 program, sponsored by Bersin & Associates and Elearning! magazine.
This award-winning effort is a progressive, career-spanning development program whose target audience is 42,000 junior officers, field grade officers, and general officers in the USAF. At its core is a new Institutional Competency List that serves to define competencies and required proficiency levels for every rank. The program was developed via a partnership with C² and Vangent, Inc., and encompasses distance learning, virtual exercises, custom simulations, and automated assessments; in addition, an emphasis is placed on mentoring, a requirement for all USAF officers throughout their careers.
According to a report published on the Elearning! website, the 2008 Learning Leaders hail from nations across the globe, including Denmark and Australia, and “represent a wide range of innovative solutions to training and business challenges.” A total of 26 winners were selected during this year’s program, from industries that include telecommunications, technology, military, manufacturing, consulting, and retail segments, along with 10 providers of training and development solutions and services.
